This Year - Helpers

As importantly as we need walkers, we also need volunteers to fill supporting roles, and help us bring the whole event together. In order to help at the Long March you MUST:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Register as soon as possible from February
• Complete a CRB check

Marshals - Provide support for walkers throughout the event. From directions, to moral support, marshals are the first port of call for walkers in need of assistance.

Catering - Provide light refreshments for walkers and marshals either at a rest centre or the YMCA.

Clerical - Assist in the registration of walkers, calculate sponsorship totals, record completion time and distance walked.

Important: There is no obligation for helpers to stay for the full duration of the event. You may indicate on the application form the hours during which you will be available.
