Fancy a challenge?

Why not take part in one of the longest running charity events in the country. The Long March is a marathon (26.2mile) or half marathon (13.1 mile) length sponsored walk which raises money for Christian Aid. Established in 1966, the Long March has so far managed to raise over £300,000.

The event is organised and operated entirely by volunteers, with local companies providing financial support, equipment, food and other essential items for the night.

We also receive medical support from St John Ambulance, radio communications support from Raynet and the venue for the event and meetings throughout the year are provided by the YMCA.

The 43rd Long March will take place on Easter Sunday 2008. However, the committee are currently on their summer holidays, so work has not yet begun for next years event.
