From Hungry to Healthy the power of solar energy in Malawi
Flora
was nursed back to health from the brink of death by the Baptist
Clinic
(Senga Bay, Malawi) and now diagnosed HIV+ is on anti-retrovirals and
now depends on a nutritious and varied diet to stay healthy.
Flora and others most vulnerable to food shortages are part of a scheme that uses a solar pump to bring water to crops and enables them to grow at least twice as much food, including a variety of fruit and vegetables. Flora, who was surviving almost solely on tea and mangoes and losing weight dangerously fast, has new hope for a healthy future.
Your support of Christian Aid through the Halifax Long March makes this possible – thank you.

Just small amounts can make a significant difference.
£5 = 50 fruit trees in Ethiopia, protecting the soil, providing nutrition.
£20 = a flood kit in Nicaragua to help rescue those trapped by flooding.
Poverty is an outrage against humanity. It robs people of dignity, freedom and hope, of power over their own lives.
Christian Aid had a vision – an end to poverty – and we believe that vision can become a reality. We urge you to join us.
